Tessa’s Recipe Rundown
Taste: You’ve got to love that slightly sweet but savory flavor of teriyaki chicken.
Texture: Ohh nothing quite like biting into a tender chicken wing, especially when it’s coated in a thick and sticky sauce.
Ease: Ridiculously easy, they just take an hour or so to bake. Can’t beat 5 minutes prep and no deep-frying!
Appearance: I love the reddish tint of the sauce contrasted with the bright sesame seeds. You could also add some green onions for garnish for an extra pop of color.
Pros: Easy and fun appetizer or main dish.
Cons: None!
Would I make this again? Yes.

It took me a little while to fall in love with chicken wings. For the longest time and still to this day, I hate the feeling of getting my hands, fingers, and fingernails dirty. According to my mom I didn’t even like ice cream as a little kid because it was too messy. It’s so silly but I just can’t help it! I’ve always had long fingernails, too, so I feel like sticky stuff is especially prone to getting stuck under them. I never enjoyed eating chicken wings at a restaurant because it’s so hard to just enjoy yourself when you feel like you are drenched in wing sauce. That’s why I’ve discovered making chicken wings at home is the perfect solution. I’m never that far away from a stack of napkins and the kitchen sink and no strangers are staring at me, so it doesn’t matter what kind of mess is made when eating these babies. They’re super easy to make, with only 7 ingredients total. They rely on Kikkoman’s Teriyaki Sauce and their Teriyaki Baste & Glaze which makes easy work of them.
It’s been almost a year now since I visited the Kikkoman factory in Wisconsin as a part of the Kikkoman Flavor Brigade, which is absolutely crazy. Time flies! This sauce is so fun that Kikkoman is searching for its first Teriyaki Marinade Serenade. You could create Kikkoman’s next jingle! It’s simple, all you have to do is submit your own Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce jingle entry on Zooppa. Good luck!

Honey Baked Teriyaki Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons Sriracha
- 1/2 cup Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
- 3 to 4 pounds chicken wing pieces
- 1 1/2 cups Kikkoman Teriyaki Baste & Glaze, or additional Marinade & Sauce
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl combine the garlic, honey, Sriracha, and Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce. Pour over the chicken wings and place in a sealable container. Marinate in the fridge for 4 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place the wings in a single layer in the prepared baking dish, discarding excess marinade. Bake until cooked through, about 50 minutes, turning the wings halfway through.
- Remove the wings to a large bowl and pour the Kikkoman Teriyaki Baste & Glaze over. Toss and place on a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.

Oh wow! I don’t think I had teriyaki chicken wings until I was a teenager. Looks like I missed out for a while 😉
Totally addicting, I need these now!
Wings are definitely not something I order at a restaurant for the reasons you say, messy, messy, messy! Can you imagine eating them on your first date, there may not be a second! I do like to make them at home once in a while and teriyaki is my husband’s favorite flavor, they look great!
Oh man wings are definitely the worst first date choice! My boyfriend loves teriyaki too, it seems like men love wings!
Baked wings? Yes, please!
I can’t lie. I am not the hyooogest of wing fans…but, my hubs? If he could live at Buffalo Wild WIngs, he would. This are gonna give me major wife points! Pinning 🙂
