Kahlua Coconut Frozen Hot Chocolate is a scrumptious summer twist on this classic drink that will be a hit at your next barbecue, picnic, or pool party!
3ouncesquality bittersweet chocolate, melted and cooled
1/4cupquality unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4cuppacked light brown sugar
3/4cupwhole milk
1(14 ounce) can unsweetened coconut milk
1/2cupKahlĂșa
1/4teaspoonvanilla extract
1/8teaspoonfine sea salt
4cupsice
For topping:
3/4cupcold heavy cream
1tablespoonsgranulated sugar
1/2cupsweetened shredded coconut, lightly toasted
Instructions
For the frozen hot chocolate:
In a blender combine all the ingredients. Blend on high speed until well combined and frosty. Pour into serving glasses.
For topping:
In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the heavy cream and sugar until soft peaks form. Dollop the whipped cream onto each glass of frozen hot chocolate then sprinkle with shredded coconut. Serve.
