Reader Survey – Help Me Get to Know You!

I need your help. Last year I conducted my first reader survey and it was so awesome and insightful. However, most of the questions were focused on Handle the Heat and your thoughts on the blog. This time I want to turn the tables and get to know YOU! If you could help me learn exactly who reads my blog, I would be hugely grateful. It’s easy to feel like just an anonymous number online and it’s hard to get to truly know a person from comments, tweets, Facebook comments, or repins. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to answer the questions below. If you feel there’s anything else I should know about you, or any feedback at all that you’d like to give about the blog, please let me know! I love you guys!

You are missing an age category! I noticed because I fall into it.
Will check back later to see if corrected and participate.

I was going to fill it out but for the life of me I can’t figure out how my household income is of any relevance. Also my political views. So although the rest of the survey seems a lot of fun and relevant I’m sorry but I won’t fill it out.
Love the blog though! Keep up the excellent work!

Hi Magda! I TOTALLY respect that which is why I have made answers to those more personal questions NOT mandatory. The only questions that are mandatory are the first four general demographic questions.

And as a note, the household income helps me gauge what kind of recipes will be best suited here. If my readers need me to focus on affordable ingredients within recipes, that’s something I will try to do. If my readers have more of a disposable income to buy specialty or more pricey ingredients or equipment, that’s something I can keep in mind while developing recipes. Knowing political views just helps me get a more rounded idea of who my readers are and where they are coming from. Thanks so much for your feedback and I hope you’ll consider answering the other questions in the survey πŸ™‚

    Hey, Tessa,

Good set of questions – one doesn’t often run into ‘describe yourself in 3 words’ as a survey question. That one can stretch the wrinkles out of your brain for sure. πŸ™‚

I know where you were going with the income question, but that one felt intrusive. Glad to see that one was optional. Otherwise, good survey.

Don’t care to leave comment. Should be optional.

I am sorry, I haven’t noticed that those questions weren’t mandatory, my bad!
Then I will absolutely do it, and thank you for your reply and explanation I appreciate it πŸ™‚
