Tip One: Keep your butter cold, cold, cold every step of the way! Start with cold butter and work quickly so it stays cold. If at any point it begins to warm up, pop the dough back in the fridge until it’s firm again.
Tip Two: Use REAL buttermilk. It truly does make a difference in the taste and texture of the scones. Learn more about the wonders of buttermilk here.
Tip Three: Get creative with flavors! Feel free to mix in 1 to 1 1/2 cups dried fruit, nuts, or chips. You can also add in different extracts, zests, spices, or any other flavor additions you can imagine.
