Weekly Recap #5

I think I’m finally getting the hang of my new curling wand. This is actually my hair the next day! I love being able to wake up and my hair is still styled from the past day. When it’s the middle of summer in Arizona (just a few more weeks, probably, until we hit three digit temperatures) the last thing I want to do is put a hot straightener or curling wand next to my head.

This is Trader Joe’s 15 minutes after they opened their doors. GLORIOUS. That store is always crowded and there’s so many products that I get overwhelmed and miss out on things. There’s no other time of the day to go.

Chewie taking a little nap right next to my cookbook shelf. Adorable. The cuteness didn’t last too long though. As soon as he saw his reflection in the glass bookcase door he flipped out and started scratching the glass like a maniac.
My lovely and talented food blogger friend, Lauren, sent me this birthday card all the way from France!
I bought a dress from Mod Cloth and it fits! Yipee.
Here’s the dress:
It’s called “Angle of Opportunity” and I can’t wait to wear it out! I also bought some more summer clothes the other day. And of course, it’s raining this weekend. Oh well, I’ll have some long, hot months to wear bright colors, tank tops, and dresses. Have you purchased any cute clothes lately?

    hello! recently, my aunt and i are so obsessed with curly hair but we don't have the patience to deal with curling wands and the like. i stumbled upon a sock bun curls tutorial video on youtube and tried it out but the curls didn't hold for long. my aunt was luckier, she came across michelle phan's tutorial (old magazine pages will work too!) and it worked wonders for us! the curls lasted for a long, long time! hope this will help you solve your curly hair dilemma during the hot summer months!

      Thanks for the info! I tried the sock bun curl overnight once and when I woke up my sock was nowhere to be found haha. I must thrash around in my sleep or something. Can't wait to try the paper bag curls!

    I agree with Jacqueline, you certainly do have all the attributes listed. The curls look lovely. The eyes! gorgeous.. I look forward to all the recipes and the weekly update. I love your blog. Keep going and keep posting. <3
