I don't think I've ever met someone who doesn't enjoy pizza. What could be better than bread, sauce, cheese, and any toppings of your choosing? Well, except when that pizza is homemade. Then it's about a thousand times better. There's something charmingly rustic about homemade pizza. Not to mention it's much more flavorful and impressive than whatever might show up at your door. Make this sauce and keep it in your fridge or freezer for the next time you want to make pizza (or even breadsticks).
Recipe Rundown
Taste: A balance of acidic, sweet, spicy, and warm flavors. Makes store-bought sauce taste like dirt!
Texture: Thick, smooth, rich.
Ease: Really couldn't be easier. Just throw the ingredients in one pot and let simmer.
Pros: Full of complex flavor, amplifies any pizza, can be made throughout the year.
Cons: None.
Would I make this again? Yes! This will be my go-to sauce recipe.
