Ceramic Knife Giveaway!!

Using my ceramic knife to slice a tiny lime.

To continue my recent string of posts about knives I’m thrilled to announce that I’m hosting another giveaway! The folks over at Shenzhen Knives were kind enough to provide a knife set from their Fruit & Vegetable Series that includes a Ceramic Slicing Knife, Ceramic Paring Knife, and a Ceramic Peeler (plus a 90-day warranty) for me to giveaway to one lucky reader.

If you didn’t already know, ceramic knives are EXTREMELY sharp as ceramic is a very hard material. To get scientific on you, these knives are made from a ceramic material that falls right below diamond on the hardness scale. In other words, the only thing sharper than ceramic is diamond (looks like those 2 semesters of college geology finally paid off!). Because of this, a ceramic knife will easily glide through something like a tomato without crushing it (and subsequently squirting tomato juice in your eye… ouch).  My favorite part of these knives is the fact that they will stay sharp for a very long time and require minimal sharpening efforts. Also, ceramic knives make a great gift for housewarming, newlyweds, or any cooking enthusiast.
Now, onto the fun part.

The knives look like they would work great- I myself have never used them before. I have learned though that it pays to spend a few dollars on a decent knife!!
